Foxfield Railway - 50 Years in Steam

£12.99

50th Anniversary Edition
This is a celebration of 50 years of the Foxfield Light Railway Society.
It shows all the action at Foxfield on typical running days we see lots of locomotive activity and both passenger and goods trains, which tackle some of the steepest lines on any preserved railway. We take a ride along the route, and share with members information about the line, locomotives and rolling stock and their involvement and responsibilities with the Society.
There is activity at the 50th Anniversary celebrations, with many interviews with Society members about the early days illustrated with unique archive film taken by Paul Knapper.
There is also an early sequence of films taken by Ken Snow of the very first days of the Foxfield Railway Society from the arrival of each of the first locomotives, early work developing the line, the Dilhorne site before development and much more including the first passengers being carried on a flat truck. Brian Allen MBE and Dave Smith give a running commentary on the film identifying people, locomotives, stock and locations.
