Buffalo Bill's 1903-4 UK tour started and finished in Stoke. The company wintered here in railway trains of special carriages built in Stoke, which then transported the company on a year-long UK tour - with its first performance in Stoke and final performance in Hanley. His 3 trains and huge company of 500 performers and dozens of horses - and some buffalo - were based in buildings constructed near Etruria Station, and his stars were the legendary Annie Oakley ('Annie Get Your Gun') and Chief Sitting Bull. See rare films taken of this incredible Wild West Show - all the action, the stars and the original Deadwood Stage. Archive films from 1898-1910 bring this great show back to life, along posters, photos and recorded tribute performances.
