Clogging It up the Cut
On June 27th 2012 Keith Meeson did a speed walk from Norton to Etruria along the Caldon canal towpath - with champion cyclist Les West and historian Mervyn Edwards. He was timed by Olympic Ambassador Neil Gilson and set a record of 1 hour 14 minutes - doing the walk in traditional miner's clothing and wearing heavy clogs. The event and this video are a fund-raiser for the Donna Louise Children's Hospice. The extras on the video are archive films of the Caldon Canal and film of the Etruria Industrial Museum in action, with interviews with many volunteers.
