FREE SCREENING, ENTERTAINING MR BENNETT - Saturday 6th December 2.00pm, Dudson Centre November 28 2025
A compilation of archive films and recordings of things which Bennett found entertaining and sometimes used in his books - from clog dancers to football.
Here we get the ambience and entertainment of the 1920s West End scene he would have been familiar with and see films of stars he knew at the SAVOY HOTEL - famous for the OMELETTE ARNOLD BENNETT.
Come and join us at the DUDSON CENTRE on Hope Street, Hanley ST1 5DD - directly across the road from the birthplace of ARNOLD BENNETT - for this free screening (and check out the new Blue Plaque to AB by the main entrance).
The Centre will open at 1.00pm and the Film Show is at 2.00pm. Refreshments are available in the café and the Dudson Museum will be open - the Museum is entirely within the Dudson's BOTTLE OVEN.
No need to book, just come along and enjoy. Car park immediately out side the Dudson Centre.
