STAFFORDSHIRE FILM ARCHIVE:
The archive was founded and developed by Ray Johnson and is housed at
Staffordshire University – forming one of the Special Collections. In addition to
the original archive films collected, there are many hours of complementary video
material generated by Ray to inform and enhance the period films – location filming,
interviews, relevant visual materials and complete documentary video productions.
Material from the Archive has been used in such television productions as;
Europe-A Natural History, Britain- A Natural History , English Landscapes,
The Real Robbie Williams, Restoration, Antiques Road Show, The Great Antiques Hunt,
Flog It, Heart of the Country, Landmarks, Country File, Inside Out, Midlands Today – BBC,
The Second World War in Colour, Britain at War in Colour, The British Empire in Colour,
Made for the Masses, The Way We Were – Carlton, All Change, Home Movies on the
Home Front, Green & Pleasant Land, Pottery Ladies, A Pocketful of Posies – Channel 4.
